Description

This object is a spiral galaxy located 150 million light years away in the constellation of Lacerta at a declination of +40 degrees. This galaxy spans 3 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 130,000 light years. The galaxy is partially obscured by a bright field of Milky Way stars.

The galaxy appears disturbed on the left side. The left side of the disk is a narrow arm while the right side looks like a typical galaxy disk. Numerous bright star clusters are seen on the left side as well. The galaxy is inclined to us but a ring structure looks visible. I do not see a companion which could be responsible for the disturbance. Little information exists on this galaxy.
